What does it take to be a true Leader? Lessons from a retired Major General

Major General 2 stars (Res.), Dr. Yom-Tov Samia, has recently published his ^2nd book, “Leadership in moments of truth”, based on the authors’ personal background, beginning with his early days in the IDF and continuing with his career in the private sector.

With nearly 3 decades of experience in the army (he was head of the Israel Defense Forces’ Southern Command), Yom-Tov Samia puts together an excellent lesson on how military leadership can be translated to other areas of activity as well. Yom Tov served for 29 years in the IDF, last post as chief southern command.
Since January 2001, Yom Tov is involved in both the private and public sectors. He managed big scale companies alongside entrepreneurial ventures in Israel and in the US.
Since 2007, he has dealt with development in the field of renewable and alternative energy in Israel, in Germany and in the US.

Yom Tov holds a Ph.D. in sociology and political science.
